Aug 15 2026: We're Hiring a Barista in El Cajon
Dos Palmas Cafe is a new café in Parkway Plaza Mall and our brand is known for great coffee, hot fresh sandwiches, and a fun, community-driven atmosphere. .
We’re looking for a barista with some hands-on coffee or food service experience who can work weekends and weekdays.
While you will have a primary role as barista serving up coffees, dirty sodas, smoothies and acai bowls, training will also be provided on all operations of the cafe including sandwich making and food prep.
Must be available to work 20-35 hours/week.

Qualifications
- Experience making hot and cold coffees and basic cafe items
- Must be available to work shifts between 10am – 8pm
- Able to handle front of house interactions with customers while handling drink and sandwich preparation responsibilities

- Extroverted, creative, quick learner, and team player
A PLUS if you have …
- Experience with syrups, mocktails, or specialty beverages
- Ability to speak Spanish or Arabic
- A network of friends in schools in El Cajon to attract to the cafe
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve various coffees, sodas, crepes and acai bowls (primary role)

- Operate the cash register and POS system efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions and handling of cash.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.

May 31, 2026: We're Hiring Sandwich Cooks in 2 locations
We are seeking customer-oriented café team members to join our team in our new Parkway Plaza Mall location El Cajon and our Adams Ave, Normal Heights location. While you will have a primary role as a customer facing, front of house sandwich cook, training will be provided on all operations of the cafe including coffee and other food prep.
El Cajon – Seeking a cafe team member available 10am – 8pm Saturdays to Tuesdays
Normal Heights – Seeking a cafe team member available 6:30am – 2pm Saturday to Tuesdays

While you will have a primary role as a customer facing, front of house panini cook, training will be provided on all operations of the cafe including coffee and other food prep.
Normal Heights – Seeking a cafe team member available 6:30am – 2pm Saturday to Tuesdays. Must be able to work at least 1 weekend shift.

We are seeking an Assistant/Barista to support our operations at our Adams Avenue, Normal Heights locations Saturday-Tuesdays. Looking for someone with a can do and team player attitude, and an ability to learn quick. The role is to support baristas and cooks with various tasks on our busy weekends 9am-2pm while also taking on barista shifts on Mondays & Tuesdays 7am-2pm.
Opportunity for additional shifts once fully cross trained and as you gain knowledge of our operations of making great coffee as well as paninis.
